Llyn-din
to the Celts, Londinium to the Romans, and pop heaven to the 60's crowd, London remains, after many centuries, a vast stage upon which world figures and events come and go. The River Thames continues to flow, the Tower of London stands watch, London Eye high above everything, the sun filters through the stained glass of Westminster Abbey and the majestic lawns of Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and Regent's Park continue to offer a delightful refuge for the city's inhabitants . . . as well as for a multitude of foreign visitors
No
wonder, then, that London is the top tourist destination in Europe. Just outside most hotel doors are the city's numerous sites and delightful corner landmarks, be it park or pub. Amidst all this historical splendor, the various districts of the city are comprised of renowned neighborhoods with the familiar names of Belgravia, Knightsbridge, Fulham, Chelsea, Mayfair, Paddington and Hampstead.
Have always stay in the Mayfair area, convenient on the tube and close to
some of the best shopping in London. Nice restaurants with several large embassies (including the US) right around the corner...
