Geneva - small metropolis surrounded by unspoiled nature and breathtaking scenery. On its limits lie magnificent country estates, hidden behind ancient stands of oak, and, to the north, peaceful villages, home of fruity Perlan
wines. Yet more villages and towns huddle the shores of Lake Geneva itself. Capital of Peace is one of its names - the European headquarters of the United Nations is located here.
Geneva was expensive, taxi ride from the airport to our hotel (8 miles) was $32.00!! However, for the price one receives great food, spectacular views and one of the cleanest cities in
Europe. People were friendly, willing to easily give directions and strike-up a conversation at a moments notice. Oh, and did I say the shopping was great - plenty of watches for everyone!
