Visited Edinburgh in early July; wen we originally made the reservations we did not know that the G8 Summit would occur.... well, we were stuck in several protest marches, anti-Bush rallys and gigantic crowds everywhere we went! Outside of a few protests we all loved Edinburgh, terrific castle, wonderful hospitality, shopping (everyone purchased wool sweaters and scarves) and loads of history from the Roman occupation, Scottish Crown jewels and Black plague. |
