Gothenborg is the 2nd largest town in Sweden and is highly influenced by the Dutch. Lots of channels that run through the town make it a nice place to be as you are very near to the water all the
time.
It's a great place for shopping (they have some very special, extraordinary shops there) and sitting in cafes, watching people and enjoy the atmosphere.
As it is next to the Nordic Sea, trips to one of
the nice beaches, beautiful harbors or even Frederikshavn (Denmark) or Oslo (Norway) are no problem at all. The city looks so authentic with lovely cobbles streets, on the road cafes and a lovely summer
weather!! Took a side trip to Marstrand and toured this wonderful island; absolutely gorgeous.
